U.K. children in need of mobility recently received help from Lockton Companies. Lockton’s Real Estate & Construction London division helped raise £9,360.20 for Whizz-Kidz, Lockton’s charity of the year, by holding a Texas Hold em Poker night March, 27th.

The evening was held at The Casino at the Empire in Leicester Square in London and 91 guests – from novices to experts –took part. Ed O’Donnell from Stace LLP took first prize, Pauline Jones, from Pauline Jones Residential came in second and Lockton’s own Richard Lockyer who organized the event won third prize.

"Whizz-Kidz is a small yet deserving charity, and these funds will definitely contribute to providing mobility equipment, advice and training and the chance for disabled children in the UK to join in with their family and friends and do all the things children should do."

Whizz-Kidz seeks to ensure that every disabled child in the U.K. has the chance of a regular childhood. Lockton raises funds for the charity which seeks to give disabled children the ability and confidence to live their life to the fullest. Whizz-Kidz is part of Lockton International’s Charity of the Year initiative and has become the focus of the U.K.’s fundraising activities.
